A Little Saturday Poetry

“Love thy neighbor” is naïveté and “from the sweat of the brow” a chore
When wanting is a virtue and others too want ever more.
Begging for social progress and groveling for a bone
The tyranny of the majority redistributes what you used to own.

The devil is in the details and his craft is done in stealth,
Preaching that man deserves what he did not earn himself.
Abusing the freedoms of Democracy the wicked vote themselves wealth,
Claiming inalienable rights to school, to food, and to health.

But rather than outright steal it and risk the Creator’s wrath,
They’ve found someone else to commit the theft, to take on their behalf.
From Lucifer’s lazy plan of robbery, they found their sneaky way:
Get the government to tax and take it and make a neighbor a slave.

  1. Yeah... it had been a while, but I'm back at it. I'll try not to take such a long hiatus next time. :o)
