Socialism as Institutionalized Cannibalization

Why is it that bands like Muse and Mumford and Sons who come from the British Isles, where riots are starting because of austerity measures, get it while we're still busy institutionalizing the cannibalization of society described in these lyrics?  Read these lyrics from Mumford and Sons and let me know what you think:
